Friday, April 2nd from 2-3pm in the drama room!
Info about the class
We will have a 1 semester, Productions Company Class next school year. The class is for 8th and 9th graders who are selected from the audition process. Class members will be producing a Spring play (in addition to other school productions). Students selected are NOT auditioning for a specific role, they are auditioning to be a member of the class. Once class starts in the winter, we will select a show and have auditions within the class for our particular show. Due to the nature of this class, we can only accept students who are well-behaved, committed, responsible, respectful, hard-working, and have excellent teacher recommendations in addition to being talented.
Class List for Productions Company 2022W will be available after Spring Break. |
Audition Information for this class
Auditioners must…
- Be in 7th or 8th grade this year (so they are in 8th or 9th grade next year)
- Sign-up for a scheduled audition time. (Sign-ups are by the Drama Room door, Room 6)
- Fill Out an audition packet (which includes questions, current grades, and parent signature) and bring it to their audition.
- Get 2 teacher recommendations
- Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue. (You will be asked to stop after 2 minutes)
Helpful Hints:
- Auditioners will perform their monologue and will also be asked to participate in a “cold read” where they will be given a scene from a script and asked to act it out.
- If you are not selected for the advanced class, it does not mean that you are not talented! Space is limited and we just decided to select other students and space was limited. We encourage you to sign up for other drama classes and keep auditioning!
